If daylight saving time and warm temperatures have you thinking spring/summer, how about a trip to posh Ojai Valley Inn & Spa for the resort’s ongoing Wine Dinner Series? Most menus remain TBA, but Thursday's March Scribe menu includes seared red prawns, hand cut tagliatelle with duck sauce and roasted spring lamb chop with Scribe Cabernet Sauvignon (2013). April's Arietta Dinner (accompanied by Arietta “Variation One” red wine, 2004) includes such delicacies as seared rare Shetland Island salmon, housemade orecchiette pasta with oxtail ragu, filet mignon and gourmet cheeses.
This one’s a bit of a splurge: Price tags for Chef Andrea Rodella’s January and February dinners were $175 and $195 respectively. Monthly dinners through the end of the year range from $175 to $395 (that’s December’s Dom Pérignon dinner). But Ojai is always magic—and that In-N-Out burger just won’t do with Dom.
