Tujunga Village’s loss is Hollywood’s gain. After three years in business, Suck It has moved to Sweet, the 30,000-square-foot candy emporium at Hollywood and Highland. Owner Kaileigh Brielle says she was approached by the store’s owner, who provided a “tremendous opportunity” to expand her specialty gluten-free frozen pop business.

“I just couldn't pass up his offer,” says Kaileigh. “I'm surrounded by chocolatiers and artisan candy makers. We all make our product on-site. I'm inspired daily. I'm expanding my audience to people from all over the world who come to Hollywood as a destination, but I'm also still close to my friends and Suckateers in Studio City.”

She says she is grateful to all her supporters in the 818 and will be back in the Studio City area again, but instead of a brick-and-mortar, she’ll be rolling around in the vintage trailer that she renovated with the help of a Kickstarter campaign.

Sweet is open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (as opposed to her limited hours in Studio City), so in the words of Kaileigh, “There's plenty of time to Suck It.” 6801 Hollywood Blvd., suckitsweets.com
