Are you free tonight … that's Tuesday, October 27? Take a trip to Skirball Cultural Center for a session on modern Israeli cooking with James Beard Award-winner Michael Solomonov (executive chef of Philadelphia's Zahav restaurant) in a lively discussion with Chef Jon Shook (Animal restaurant, LA). Chef Michael will discuss the foods and recipes in his latest book, Zahav: A World of Israeli Cooking. Following the lecture you can taste samples of foods featured in the book.
And on November 8, try Leah Koenig's Jewish Brunch 2.0. For the mouthwatering final event in the Oh My Nosh series, the Brooklyn-based food writer and author of Modern Jewish Cooking: Recipes & Customs for Today’s Kitchen will take you beyond the bagel with fresh brunch ideas and recipes. Observe Leah preparing a smoked salmon hash and enjoy a full brunch including the hash, sour cream coffee cake, savory French toast, carrot salad, grilled pear salad, shakshuka (an egg and tomato dish) and chocolate almond hazelnut horns.
