To end the summer, Peasant Wine Bistro owners Christine Tran and Greg Woodbury hired Juan Gallegos, instilling a commitment to seasonal, market-driven ingredients at their Tarzana restaurant. If expanded hours are any indication, the switch is working, since Peasant Wine Bistro just added Sunday dinner service starting at 5 p.m.
Their winter menu includes roasted multicolored cauliflower with pine nuts and red pepper pesto; winter salad with wild arugula, baby spinach, feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, sunflower kernels, pomegranate vinaigrette; and citrus-glazed salmon with leek and turnip puree, garlic ginger broccoli, black sesame.
