For more than three generations, since the 1930s, Jeannot Fine Furniture has been hand-crafting custom furniture and interior architecture. The family came to California by way of Casablanca, Morocco. Jeannot’s father was a cabinet maker who taught his sons—Jeannot and his brother, Michel—the trade. They left Morocco and ended up in Los Angeles, where Jeannot’s three children—Daniel, Nicole and Josh—presently work in the family business. With their extensive knowledge in manufacturing, the team at Jeannot Fine Furniture has the capability to create any style, including transitional, traditional and contemporary.
What would you like potential clients to know about you?
“We really enjoy what we do, and that comes through in all of our finished furniture. Our showroom has furniture samples you can use for design ideas and inspiration, and they are also available for purchase.”
What’s most rewarding about your work?
“The fact that our clients are so happy with our work that they are comfortable enough to refer us to their friends. That is how we have grown our business for so long. It amazes us that we are working on jobs for our clients as well as for their kids.”
What is the most popular home improvement trend your customers ask for?
“It is always changing, but at this time, it would be revising their existing TV cabinets to accommodate the new flat screen TVs.”
How do you stay on top of the latest trends and advances in your field?
“Always researching, gaining inspiration through visuals such as architecture, magazines, blogs, fashion and music. Our clients’ ideas are also a great way to stay on top of the latest trends and changes in technology with computers, TVs and audio/visuals. We also do a lot of networking in our industry, which is a great way to learn about what is going on in different areas.”
What do you like to do for fun, when you’re not at work?
“When work is done, we leave it behind and enjoy our family life together. As a family, we enjoy BBQs at the beach in Santa Barbara, pool parties and all parties at Jeannot’s, including holidays and birthdays. We like to infuse our cultural heritage by continuously enjoying life together and celebrating the everyday.”
