Huntington Learning Center

Huntington Learning Center has been serving the tutorial and exam prep needs of students for more than 36 years. The centers offer enrichment as well as remediation to students who are having difficulty in school with reading, math, writing, science, focusing and/or motivation. They provide a structured learning environment where each student’s program is individually tailored to meet their specific needs. Unless students are receiving one-to-one tutoring, instruction places the children in a classroom-like environment (with no more than four students to one teacher) so they develop academic skills, independence and good study habits necessary to excel in the classroom and in life.

What are some signs that a child needs help with school?                                                                

“It’s time to take action if your child takes too long or refuses to do homework; has difficulty preparing for tests or writing essays; does poorly on exams or gets poor grades; and/or gives up easily or doesn’t want to try. It is important to foster an environment directed toward helping the student want to learn rather than just needing to learn. Huntington Learning Center excels at this.”

“Our students are able to raise their grades through improvement of study skills, content knowledge, test-taking and overall comprehension. We also help our ACT students raise their score by an average of 4+ points, while our SAT students increase by an average of 220+ points! But most of all, we help our students become more confident, motivated and excited about learning and doing well in their academics.”

“Our instructors provide a customized learning plan unique to each child. We have more than 1,000 pieces of curriculum that continuously get updated! We schedule conferences with both the parents as well as the child’s schoolteacher in order to make certain we’re all working toward the same goal. We’ve also been focused on common core skills since 1977.”
