No cuts. No color. Just blowouts. That’s Drybar’s simple, straightforward philosophy. Instead of paying big bucks for the same treatment at other salons, this darling depot of hair-drying professionals gets the job done for $35. Curly, straight, short, long and everything in between … only $35. You also get a lovely wash and may order an assortment of extras like a scalp massage or a conditioning hair shot.
Before becoming a full-time mom, founder and “blow dry maven” Alli Webb had a career in public relations, working with clients such as Faith Hill, Paul McCartney and Keith Urban. A professional hair stylist trained by Toni & Guy, she spent several years working under the late, great John Sahag in NYC. A few years ago, she began a side business called Straight-at-Home and provided in-home blowouts, strictly on a referral basis, in LA. Her business and popularity quickly outgrew her one-woman show, so she decided to expand and start Drybar.
Lucky us, because now Drybar has finally reached El Segundo, and the news is quickly catching on with the South Bay crowd. If you become a regular, the business offers membership benefits at a reduced rate and discounts on products. Looking for a great party idea? Let Drybar plan one for you. Let your guests’ goodie bag be a day of runway-ready hair.
