Flavor of LA returns to CBS Studio Center on May 20 and spotlights plenty of local culinary favorites.
The event takes place on the historic studio backlot where classic TV shows like Seinfeld, Gilligan’s Island and Gunsmoke were taped. Participating local restaurants include Barrel & Ashes, Boneyard Bistro, Claudine Artisan Kitchen and Bake Shop, The Front Yard, Gasolina Café, Oi Asian Fusion and Tuning Fork.
Flavor of LA, which is hosted by the Studio City Chamber of Commerce and is now part of the 31-day Los Angeles Times Food Bowl, also provides an opportunity to taste prime bites from outside the Valley. Angelina’s Pizzeria Napoletana, sister restaurants Panxa Cocina and Roe Seafood, and Uncle Paulie’s Deli will also be providing bites.
Beverage contributors include local breweries like 818 Brewery, Macleod Ale and Brewyard Beer; wineries like Ammunition Wine, Riboli Family Wine Estates and Golden Star Vineyards; cocktails from The San Fernando; juice from Pressed Juicery; and coffee from Coffee Source and Grass Fed Coffee.
Desserts come courtesy of Valley stars like Belgium Waffle Haus, Breadologie, Cake Bash Studio, McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream, Salt & Straw, Ubatuba Acai and Wanderlust Creamery.
This year’s program also includes chef demos from Aaron Robins (SOCA and Boneyard Bistro) and Arthur Gonzalez (Panxa Cucina and Roe Seafood). The Television Motion Picture Car Club is also showcasing vehicles that have appeared in TV shows and movies.
L.A. Kitchen is this year’s charitable beneficiary.
Flavor of LA takes place on May 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $75 and include free parking.
