The Local Peasant is featuring this fall cocktail at both the Sherman Oaks and Woodland Hills locations. With cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and pumpkin puree, it has all the flavors of the season. Add bourbon and Irish cream, and you've got the perfect holiday kick for your Thanksgiving celebration at home.
2 ounces Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon (available at BevMo)
1/4 ounce Carolans Irish Cream (available at BevMo)
1 heaped tablespoon canned pumpkin puree
1/4 ounce lemon juice
1 ounce vanilla syrup
2 cloves
2 pinches cinnamon powder
Garnish: freshly grated nutmeg (or bottled), half cinnamon stick, whipped cream
Crack the cloves with a muddler in a shaker tin. Add ice and all the ingredients and shake in a double rocks glass. Add a heaping spoonful of whipped cream, sprinkle nutmeg and add half a cinnamon stick as garnish. Enjoy!
