Farm Table Co., a fast-casual concept from the owners of Drunken Crab in NoHo and Santa Barbara, debuted in November near the Federal courthouse, auto dealerships and Costco—replacing a Chinese restaurant called Golden China.
The homey space features a glass and wood front, exposed wood beams and sprawling dining room with wood tables. Brick and white walls hosts farm paintings, menacing tools like the scythe and produce boxes. Order at the counter and receive a number printed on a vegetable like onion or squash. The counter also hosts a tantalizing case filled with pie, cake, cookies, muffins and more.
Chef Tiffany Deleon steers Farm Table’s culinary direction. Breakfast bowls and sandwiches predominate in the morning. Salads and burgers get play at lunch. Sandwiches all come with house-seasoned potato chips and include turkey bacon ranch Panini, chicken salad on grilled sourdough, and grilled cheese with Swiss, blue, fontina, butter sugar-braised pears and Dijon mustard.
Multicultural entrees include pumpkin and butternut squash ravioli with sage brown butter sauce; Korean beef tacos with kimchi, Napa cabbage, cilantro and Sriracha aioli; and quinoa-crusted ahi served on corn-centric succotash, dressed with microgreens.
