Bandwagon Brokerage in Downtown L.A. is just a stone’s throw from the Farmers Market district. It’s been providing restaurants with wholesale, high-quality fresh produce for eons. With so many eateries still not up and running full steam, for the first time Bandwagon is offering its fruits and vegetables on a small scale for individual buyers.

Customers need to simply fill out an order form, and then a rep from Bandwagon will call to confirm and choose a mutually convenient time for you to pick up your produce. Currently there’s a curbside pickup location in Encino, but plans are underway for a second location in Sherman Oaks.

For pickup on Tuesday (between 1 and 3 p.m.), order no later than the previous Sunday by 3 p.m. For pickup on Friday (between 1 and 3 p.m.), order no later than the previous Wednesday by 3 p.m.

A Leaner, Meaner Blue Dog

Blue Dog Beer Tavern—a mainstay in Sherman Oaks for a decade—has reopened for business with a new, healthier menu. The revamped menu comes after a health scare for co-owner Paul Scrivano. The 48-year-old suffered a heart attack last year and subsequently embarked on a lifestyle overhaul that included a serious weight loss. He now focuses on eating healthier—and wants customers to as well. Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of premium craft brew on tap.

Final Slice

After 40 years in business, Four ’n 20 has closed its location on Van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. The eatery opened in 1969 as a pie shop and then expanded into diner-style fare. Four ’N 20 posted a simple “thanks for the memories” notice on social media last weekend, sharing that they were shutting doors. A second location—on Laurel Canyon in Valley Village—remains open.
