Chaminade College Preparatory

Chaminade College Preparatory is a coeducational Catholic school in the Marianist tradition, serving more than 2,000 students in grades 6 to 12. Chaminade offers a seven-year learning experience including a rigorous academic curriculum and diverse offerings of extra- and co-curricular activities, preparing students for success in college and beyond while fostering in them deep moral values. The school’s mission is to form morally aware and academically capable people to be outstanding contributors to the future. Founded in 1952, Chaminade operates a middle school campus in Chatsworth and a high school campus in West Hills.

“Chaminade inspires its students to be leaders. Students find multiple opportunities to explore their innate desire to lead, whether it’s through Campus Ministry or other major leadership programs such as Student Activities, Diversity Team, Link, Ambassadors or Web Leaders. Our advanced placement (AP) program allows students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. The program offers more than 30 courses across multiple subject areas that engage students in a rigorous and challenging course of study—such as art, biology, calculus, chemistry, economics, environmental science, physics, psychology, statistics, U.S. government and many more. At Chaminade, learning is not just limited to the classroom. Students are encouraged to explore their individual interests, discover new talents and foster greater ties with their community.”
