Campbell Hall is a private, independent, K–12, college preparatory day school where the values of self-worth, compassion, respect, service and responsibility are taught alongside a research-based academic program. With a 70-year history and more than 1,100 students, the 15-acre campus offers abundant extracurricular activities and club offerings. The state-of-the-art facilities include the award-winning Arts & Education Center with resources that include television and sound studios, video production and photography labs, and an art gallery.
What would you like kids and parents to know about your school?
“We are an inclusive, inquiry-based community that embodies teaching the curriculum of the heart and mind. Quality education is academically stimulating and rigorous while encouraging a strong sense of moral, ethical and spiritual formation.”
In what ways do you encourage parent involvement?
“Parents (and grandparents) get involved at whatever level is comfortable; they are our partners and central to the experience and success of our students.”
What does it take to be the best in the business?
“In addition to our curriculum and innovative programs, we look to our alumni to measure success. Campbell Hall graduates are academically and personally well-prepared, and move confidently on to college as bright, well-adjusted, successful contributors to the larger community.”
How does your school encourage a healthy lifestyle?
“Just a few examples include: mindfulness classes; later start time for the upper school; the Center for Spiritual Practice; the vibrant and diverse speaker series focused on human development; and high student participation in athletics—we have 70 teams. Health is key when part of your mission is to nurture responsible human beings.”
What do kids love most about your school?
“Our students tell us they love the sense of community and their relationships with faculty. They love the inquiry-based model of the academic program as well as the ability to thoroughly experience learning through athletics and arts.”
What’s most rewarding about your work?
“We love our mission and that we have the opportunity to live and realize it every day through each student. They’re not just words to us. We are intentional about the educational experience because of this great mission.”
