It's 10 a.m.—are you ready for your first beermosa of the day?
Don't worry, the beermosa—as you might guess, orange juice mixed with beer instead of the usual Champagne—is not the only thing on the new weekend breakfast menu at Sherman Oaks' Blue Dog Beer Tavern. (This is not just any beermosa: Blue Dog tells The Sauce these are made with Scrimshaw; the beermosa royale is made with Chimay Tripel).
To celebrate its sixth year in the community, Blue Dog tried new, not-too-early weekend breakfast hours—10 a.m. to noon—this past weekend. A spokeswoman tells The Sauce that response was "pretty awesome," so they are extending the hours on both ends: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., going forward. Still, by 9:00 all those pesky, early-morning Crossfit trainers should be done lunge-walking by outside in the heat carrying rocks—sooo distracting when you're trying to finish a good breakfast burrito.
To make sure your first Blue Dog breakfast is a good one, the restaurant is offering a special promotion this weekend: Anyone dropping in during breakfast hours can choose any breakfast item and a cup of freshly-brewed Stumptown coffee for only $3. Now doesn't that kind of deal call for a toast?

Food is pretty darn good, too.
