Tony’s Darts Away, the Burbank bar that’s known for its killer craft beer selection, celebrates their seventh anniversary on Saturday, May 13, and Sunday, May 14. This event promises to be epic, as they plan to tap a special keg every hour between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
You’ll find food specials, but the biggest draw will be Darts Away IPA—a custom IPA collaboration from the bar’s friends at Bluebird Brasserie and Kern River Brewing Co. The beer registers 9% ABV. Since this is Tony’s Darts Away’s seventh anniversary, Darts Away IPA incorporates seven different hops: Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook, Ahtanum, CTZ and a “top secret super special varietal.”
Owner Tony Yanow reflects on seven successful years, saying, “Tony’s Darts Away has exceeded all of my expectations by a country mile. The Burbank community welcomed us with open arms and continues to embrace our ethics and ethos of All Craft, All Draught, All California. We are grateful for our truly remarkable guests who range from daily regulars to craft beer tourists and everyone in between.”
Customers who expect 7-year-itch-type changes should think twice. “Evolution at Tony’s Darts Away will be exceedingly slow,” Tony says. “As the world evolves around us, we hope to remain a place where folks can reliably enjoy a pint, eat delicious local food and leave their stress at the door—perhaps while playing a board game or two.”
