Artisan Cheese & Wine builds on its reputation for thoughtful, detour-worthy events with a Jeeper Champagne tasting on Thursday, March 28, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Jeeper representative Fiona Perrin is visiting from France to help present three different Champagnes: Grand Assemblage, Grand Reserve Blanc de Blanc and Cuvée Grand Rosé.
Artisan owner Shelley Janson explained her decision to spotlight Jeeper, saying, “Jeeper has a great story and is new to the U.S. The owner was a war hero in France, helping Americans fight the Germans. Americans thanked him by giving him a jeep, hence the name. He has one of the largest acreage of Champagne planted in France.” She also loves Jeeper’s “small bubbles” and that they make her favorite rosé.
Space is limited, so call Artisan Cheese & Wine to reserve a seat for $20. The tasting is complimentary with any Jeeper bottle purchase. And for those who like to eat while they drink, Artisan has coordinated an entire menu around the Jeeper Champagnes—available for purchase.
