Favorite app for dining out?
Grubhub, because it’s easy. I like the way you can filter what kind of food or restaurants show up. It makes the process that much quicker.
Movie you’re looking forward to?
How to Train your Dragon 2 and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
Favorite websites?
I enjoy Pitchfork for everything music-related and Paste Magazine for great movie, TV, music and video game articles. Also DoLA is great for finding out about cool local shows and events.
Music you’re currently loving?
Some of my favorites right now are Lou Reed, Atmosphere, Childish Gambino, Frank Sinatra and Dusty Springfield.
Recent discoveries?
There’s a beautiful song I discovered called “To Build a Home” by The Cinematic Orchestra. I just put it on repeat and fall asleep.
Apps for music?
I use Spotify. I don’t even use iTunes anymore. Spotify has so much of the music I love, and I’m constantly discovering new awesome tracks and artists with its help.

New movie: Rage
Regular gig: Nashville (ABC)
On your movie “hit list”?
I’m very much looking forward to seeing Mood Indigo. I’ve been anticipating its release for some time. It is based on French novelist Boris Vian’s cult novel and stars Audrey Tautou and Romain Duris.
I also am excited for Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here.
Book on your nightstand?
I’m currently reading Even Cowgirls Get the Blues by Tom Robbins, Mr. Vertigo by Paul Auster, Glam-orama by Bret Easton Ellis and Generation of Swine: Tales of Shame and Degradation in the ‘80s by Hunter S. Thompson.
Music on your playlist?
I’m always listening to Blue Valentine and Alice by Tom Waits, and recently some Hot Tuna. And The Strokes are my driving-at-night music to keep me awake when I’m done with a night shoot.
New group you’ve recently discovered?
My friend recently introduced me to Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and I really dig them. They’re a modern band with a very ‘50s-esque sound.
Favorite website?
Probably abebooks.com. I buy the large majority of my books there—they are so cheap! I also really enjoy the blog Curbside Fashion by Lauren Rose. She’s a young feminist who critiques film and photography and whatnot.
Any TV binge-watching?
Oddities on the Science Channel, because I’m a nerd.
