Chef Steve Brown has developed a roving, farm-driven, modern American dinner series called Cosecha, which has been popping up at various LA restaurants. Cosecha means “harvest” in Spanish. On Saturday, August 6, Cosecha touches down at Claudine Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop in Encino. Steve and Claudine chef-owner Anthony Jacquet will alternate dishes for seven courses. The experience starts with cocktails at 6:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $89 per person and are available for purchase here.
Steve and Anthony became friends starting in 2008 while cooking at neighboring Mid-City restaurants. Steve was executive chef at Monsieur Marcel in The Original Farmers Market. Anthony was executive chef of Whisper Lounge at The Grove. Steve says, “Once he opened Claudine and I saw the space, I thought what a great opportunity to collaborate together and use his amazing space in a creative way—and he felt the same way.”
Steve has been living in Imperial Beach, a city in San Diego County that butts up against the Mexican border, which is where he’s built Mexican influences into his repertoire. Find the full seven-course menu listed below:
