Woodland Hills is getting busy. If you’ve driven down Topanga Boulevard lately, you’ve witnessed the construction underway for the 550,000-square-foot, mixed-use, open-air development that is being promoted as a “new central gathering place for shopping, dining, events, entertainment and leisure.”
Along with massive anchors Crate & Barrel and Costco, there will be a slew of lifestyle brand stores, along with 15 restaurants. The latest announcement comes from Il Fornaio, the upscale yet casual, Tuscan-style Italian restaurant with locations that include Pasadena and Beverly Hills. It is scheduled to open alongside the official Village premiere in September. This will be the first location in the San Fernando Valley (and adjacent to the weekly Saturday farmers market). Another much anticipated arrival, EMC Seafood & Raw Bar—which is known as one of the top happy hour spots (with amazing oyster offerings) in downtown LA—is slated to open sometime this summer.
Other food spots will include: Joey Topanga, Tender Greens, XOC Tequila Grill, Larsen’s Steakhouse, Sushi Katsuya, Le Pain Quotidien, Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern, Veggie Grill, Cava Mezze Grill, Eureka!, Panera Bread, Lucille’s BBQ, Pieology Pizza and Wokcano.
