The Tipsy Cow quietly soft opened on June 4 in the former La Pergola location in Sherman Oaks. The space has been completely gutted and turned into what the owners refer to as an “eclectic urban eating house,” specializing in freshly ground organic, grass-fed burgers, wine, craft cocktails and 32 draft beers. While burgers are the centerpiece, the menu also includes such dishes as creamy blue crab dip, tarragon deviled eggs, and short-rib poutine fries. If burgers aren’t your thing, there is free-range turkey, ahi tuna, and handcrafted veggie burgers. The owners of the Tipsy Cow have a diverse restaurant portfolio with four Big Wangs, as well as Loaded Hollywood (a rock bar) and Dog E. Style (a new hot dog/sausage joint in Hollywood). Expect the grand opening in the next two weeks.
In other news: Pane Dolce, that served breakfast and lunch at 13608 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks for 15 years, closed on May 31. A ramen eatery is in talks to occupy the space.
